Today’s ‘Take 5 with…’ is with Rebecca, our Process and Change Analyst at NewDay, giving us an insight into her role and life at NewDay.

How long have you worked for NewDay?

I’ve been at NewDay for 3 years and 11 months!

How would you describe what you do at NewDay in one sentence?

I take ownership of the customer service process maps, ensuring they are kept up to date following any change requests. Then, I communicate this to the contact centre to ensure their knowledge database is also kept up to date.

Tell us about your proudest achievement at NewDay.

I joined NewDay in July 2014 as a Customer Service Associate. I worked hard on building my knowledge of the systems and business as a whole, which led me to a year’s secondment in the role I am in now in — which I’ve secured permanently! It’s an achievement I’m really proud of.

What does the NewDay Manifesto mean to you?

It means ensuring I understand the impact we make for customers on a day-today basis. In my eyes, no Manifesto, means no business!

The three best things about working at NewDay are…

The working environment, the surroundings and my colleagues.

There are, of course, a lot of additional benefits, such as the annual bonus (dependent on our end-of-year rating), BUPA health checks, and the ability to purchase extra holidays.

What’s the most interesting / exciting meeting in your diary this week?

This week I’m going to the ‘Managing Small Projects’ training course. This is really going to help me to develop in my role, so I’m excited about that!

Tell us about the social side of NewDay — what’s your favourite event been?

I have heard (and seen evidence!) that the Summer Fete is a brilliant event! — I have yet to attend one, but maybe 2018 will be my year!

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.

One from my bucket list (even though I don’t have one) is to foster children.

If you could do another job for one day, what would you choose and why?

If I could choose any role, I would work offshore in Mumbai. This would mean the weather would always be warm at home time!
