What does Pride mean to you?

Pride for me is about promoting and celebrating our individual preferences. Removing stigma and shame and joining together across all communities.

How does NewDay encourage inclusion and diversity?

We encourage conversation, embrace and celebrate diversity and equality. Our inspirational speaker series is a brilliant way to highlight different peoples journeys and challenges.

We’ve heard a lot about allyship — what does this mean to you?

To me it’s about supporting and actively challenging homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. Using my voice for good.

I think we are definitely on a journey. Education is key and there are a lot of opinions, stereotypes and assumptions still to challenge. We need to keep sharing experiences and knowledge.

Why is it important to celebrate Pride in the workplace?

It is important to celebrate in the workplace to ensure that everyone in our NewDay family knows that their individuality is valued and embraced by others. We create a safe space for everyone to flourish.

How will you be marking Pride this year?

In the crazy world we are in right now, probably some socially distanced drinks with my friends to just celebrate being an awesome, unique bunch of people!
